Yes! Pieces are shipped Australia-wide. Just be sure to check delivery times with Australia Post as they tend to take a little longer to deliver to regional areas than they do to metro areas. Be patient my pretties, your pearls will be in your ears before you know it!

Mila and Me Handmade pieces come beautifully wrapped and ready to gift, or to enjoy yourself! Pearls are wrapped in soft tissue paper, placed in a branded linen pouch and encased in a recycled kraft gift box and twine. You're welcome to write a short message for a gift note too. For added protection, the gift box is then cushioned inside a padded envelope before being shipped to you.

I'm confident you'll be happy with your pearls, but if for any reason you are not, please get in touch and I will work with you to resolve this. Unfortunately, due to hygiene reasons I'm unable to accept returns or exchanges on earrings as I can't be certain they haven't been worn. Although I do my best to safely package your pearls, accidents can happen. If your pieces arrive damaged, get in touch and I will arrange for the item to be repaired. Be sure to hold onto the original packaging to help prevent damage on return.

Yes, the pieces are made to order. Buying 'stocked' items means the items are made in bulk, which may come with an element of carelessness and may be made in a slightly lackadaisical way. By making the items to order, they are given the attention and focus each piece deserves, so you can be sure they are created with love and care.

I choose to only create with high quality and ethically sourced materials. I source local supplies where possible to minimise environmental impact and foster community pride. I source AAA grade natural freshwater pearls with a raw organic finish. Their shape is unique and imperfections are common (the beauty of a pearl!). They are natural (white) in colour and have a beautiful silky lustre.

I create using Sterling Silver .925 and 14k gold-filled wire (yellow and rose gold). Distinguished from gold-plated, gold-filled wire lasts longer and will stand up to wear and tear. 14k gold-filled wire is a durable metal that lasts far longer than gold-plated and is an economical alternative to solid gold wire. This metal is hypoallergenic and will not tarnish, flake off, rub off or turn colour, like gold plating. Gold-filled wire is composed of a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or another base metal.
